Destination ImagiNation is looking for a high-energy leader/coordinator to facilitate its high impact, student-based program teaching 21st Century skills (creativity, problem solving, and teamwork). Destination Imagination is a global not-for-profit, community-based, school-friendly program.
Contract positions are available in Las Vegas/Carson City/Reno area.
The State Leader must be available immediately, through July 2010 and have exceptional abilities to work from own location/home and accomplish the following:
Main Responsibilities
• Work with and effectively represent established program and processes
• Recruit no less than 50 elementary through HS teams to participate in a Spring 2010 State tournament and celebration.
• Recruit, train and support volunteer Team Managers.
• Represent Destination Imagination at conferences, events and one-on-one meetings.
• Run Statewide Tournament in Spring 2010, securing site, volunteer trained officials, and all logistics
• Manage related administrative duties, including tracking teams and contacts.
This position requires a highly motivated individual who is able to understand a complex organization and learn quickly. It also requires the ability to work within tight deadlines. With excellent organization, communication and recruiting skills the ideal candidate will also have an eye for detail.

A base stipend plus recruiting bonuses/incentives are available for this contract position.
