This position reports to:Manager Structures NSWPrimary Position Purpose:
The Structures Group has expanded its position in the Civil Infrastructure market in Australia and overseas and requires a Principal Structural Engineer experienced in the design of infrastructure works.
· Project Management
· The associated documentation for project tasks as assigned
Ensure that projects are completed on time and on budget
Ensure that appropriate technical standards, QA, EMS and OH&S requirements are maintained on projects
Maintain contacts and keep abreast of developments in the industry
Subconsultants
Key Performance Indicators
Client satisfaction with project delivery
Quality and timeliness of reporting
Planning of workload to meet deadlines
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
The successful candidate will be a qualified civil/structural engineer with experience on multidisciplinary projects. Relevant experience is a minimum of 10 years in the design of structures in one or more of the following fields:
· Underground Structures
· Airports
· Rail
· Water Related Infrastructure
They will be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal English language skills
Knowledge of Australian bridge design standards is preferred, but is not essential. More important is a sound understanding of the detailed design process and a willingness to communicate with the various disciplines involved in a major infrastructure project
Degree in an appropriate branch of Engineering
Knowledge of design for civil engineering projects
Demonstrate knowledge and use of software applications and design tools.
