Proofread braille statements and documents and provide feedback;
Provide assessments on various products including braille one, two and audio format;
Maintain current with changes to BANA;
• Develop and enhance usability of consumer electronic devices as required;
• Maintain understanding of assistive technologies commonly available in the market;
• Interpret and develop strategies in address specific client business requirements that act as barriers for communication with their customers;
• Develop, maintain or update documentation to support accessibility as required;
• Some travel across North America may be required.

| Habilidades: |
Skills Technical
• Proficient in braille one and two;
• Ability to read braille in both English and French;
• Working knowledge of math braille (Nemeth) would be preferred;
• Knowledge of UEB would be considered and asset;
• Solid understanding of barriers to accessing information and utilization of people with sensory, physical, and cognitive disabilities;
• Experience with various assistive technologies used by people with sensory, physical, and cognitive disabilities;
• Must be eligible for personnel security screening at Enhanced Reliability Level.
Soft Skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external personnel;
• Good oral and written communication skills; (oral communications skills in Canada’s official languages, (French and English), are considered an asset);
• Good customer service skills;
• Good writing skills |
