About the company:
We are a web-based internet start-up company building an online community for the exchange of good deeds and charitable actions. We are in the early stages of the company simply having an idea along with an early prototype. We are looking for a group of interns eager to help us get the site up and running.
Particularly, we are looking for people who can help in the following positions:
Graphics / Web Design:
Experience with web design and development
Generate front-end graphics for website
Familiar with Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
Proficiency with web based and email interfaces
Knowledge of html/css a plus
New Media / Marketing
Passionate about Business Development, Marketing, Trends, and Culture
Active on and familiar with social media platforms and online marketing
Generate exposure of the company using technology
Harness social media to promote content and company
Once established, find and recruit users to the site
Able to create analysis and trafficking reports
Having experience with grassroots social network marketing a big plus!
Web Developer / Programmer:
Be able to build websites from scratch and update existing ones
HTML
CSS
Javascript
Php
MySQL
CMS
SEO
In addition, all applicants should meet the following requirements:
Be enthusiastic self-starters who demonstrate initiative and can deliver with very little supervision
Strong communication skills
Good at multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working to deadlines
Thorough knowledge of web usability standards and conventions

Because the company is brand new, we are looking for interns who can work by telecommuting.
The internship is designed to provide a hands-on experience for student volunteers. Internships are UNPAID and run for 8-12 week terms during the Fall semester and again in the Spring. Intern candidates can elect and/or be selected to start early if there are openings.
Although this internship is unpaid you will gain:
1. Upon funding, interns will receive cash
2. Excellent letters of recommendation when requested
