Resident Project Manager : Khorog, Tajikistan & Teikili Kazakhstan
Our client is a private, secular, co-educational institution of higher education serving the needs of mountain peoples in Central Asia and is currently in the process of developing three new university campuses in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan.
We are seeking to recruit a Resident Project Manager who will be based at Khorog, Tajikistan, and who will report to UCA’s Deputy Project Director.
A chartered civil engineer with at least 20 years relevant experience in the design and construction of educational and residential facilities/buildings including associated civil engineering infrastructure works such as roads, services and water/sewage treatment works. Excellent organisation and planning skills together with good written and verbal communication skills are essential requirements.
Previous experience of working in a CIS country together with proficiency in spoken and/or written Russian would be a distinct advantage.
The successful candidate, who will head up and manage the site supervisory team in Khorog, will be required to monitor all quality control, scheduling, costing, and safety aspects of the construction works as they are carried out on the campus at Khorog and to liaise and co-ordinate with all professional project managers, consulting architects and consulting engineers.
