Destiation Imagination is looking for a State Leader in Florida to lead the program. Destination Imagination is a 26 year old non-profit educational program which facilitates distinctive learning experiences for students. The 21st Century skills of teamwork, creativity, and problem solving are all wrapped up in a fun and engaging approach.
We are looking to fill this position ASAP and the State Leader must be available through July 2010. The ideal candidate will be based in or near the Tampa, St. Pete or Orlando areas.
The State Leader will be expected to communicate with schools, school districts and systems, and educators around the state. The successful candidate will have exceptional abilities and an established network and knowledge base of local/area schools and educational systems.
Main Responsibilities:
•Represent theDestination ImagiNation programs/processes
•Recruit 50+ elementary through HS teams .
•Recruit, train and support volunteer adults
•Represent Destination ImagiNation at conferences, events and one-on-one meetings
•Run Statewide Tournament in Spring 2010, securing site, recruiting/training volunteer officials, and managing all logistics
•Manage related administrative duties, including tracking teams and contacts.
This position requires a highly motivated individual who can understand a complex organization, learn quickly and work within tight deadlines. With excellent organization, communication and recruiting skills the ideal candidate will also have an eye for detail.
A base stipend plus bonuses/incentives are available for this contract position.
