Chicago, Tax Director –Financial Institutions —TOP 10 CPA firm
Required: CPA, must currently be with public accounting or consulting firm.
Position Description:
The successful candidate will possess the ability to plan client engagements, provide tax consulting services, supervise and review work of team staff members, and work closely with clients as well as internal managers and partners. As part of our team, the Tax Director/Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing tax assignments and related projects
- Assignments include planning and coordinating the flow of information with the client, preparing complex tax returns, supervising staff, reviewing work papers and tax returns, reviewing tax provisions on audit and review engagements, researching and resolving technical issues, and participating in the billing and collection process
- Playing a significant role in the professional development of staff members
- Recognizing opportunities for providing additional services to clients
- Marketing technical specialty or expertise to clients
- Performing tax planning and research, and resolves complex tax issues
- Giving recommendations to clients
- Conducting internal training courses or seminars on specialties
- Maintaining regular contact with assigned clients

| Habilidades: |
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or closely related field
CPA candidates
At least 6 years of financial institution tax compliance and consulting experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to thrive in a team environment
Superior Client Service abilities
