Title: Project Manger
An International, capital equipment manufacturing company with headquarters located in the mid west is seeking to hire a Project Manager. The individual selected will be accustomed to working in fast-paced environments, outgoing, well spoken, professional, strategic and operations focused. The best-suited candidate will be someone who is presently working or has previously worked in “food-processing and agricultural” industries in addition to someone who is seeking progression in his/her career, exhibiting strong leadership capabilities and responsibilities that match.
This position supports the company’s new start up division and requires extensive, “global” and local traveling (50% or more). Position will plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. Reports to the Director of Technology.
Additional responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
• Direct and manage project development from beginning to end
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
• Track project milestones and deliverables
• Through interactions with the process development team, define capital equipment needs and develop equipment specifications.
• Through interactions with the manufacturing team, optimize the layout and integration of capital equipment into the production factory.
• Oversee the acquisition, installation, start-up, and ramp to production of capital equipment.
• Write detailed equipment specifications.
• Identify and qualify vendors both domestically and internationally
• Manage capital equipment project schedules and budgets
• Organize large engineering projects and lead project meetings
• Ensure equipment adheres to corporate EHS guidelines
• Identify high risk areas of projects
• Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary
• Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company
• Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during project cycle

| Habilidades: |
• B.S. in Engineering (Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, Mechanical or closely related discipline)
• PMP certification a “plus”, but not required
• Minimum of 5-7 years of project management experience in a process oriented EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) firm
