The challenge
As an educator, you will promote the development of the child to a personality capable of acting on one’s own responsibility, experiencing life as part of a community. You will care for children and adolescents in an age-based manner and promote their curiosity, their creativity and their motor activity. Communication of societal values and norms is part of your activity as well as teaching of motor activity and body consciousness and the promotion of intellectual capability. You should always have an open ear and be able to respond to the different needs of children and adolescents in a sensible and sensitive manner. You should definitely be able to assert yourself and show consistent limits to children and adolescents. Apart from pedagogic and educational capabilities, you should also exhibit organizational and communicative talent in order to develop and lead workshops and clubs in cooperation with the team of the afternoon program. The range of topics and the offerings are versatile. Themes such as art, literature, theatre and music are included just as science, sports and creative work.

Your profile
You have a complete education or a record of academic studies in the fields of social pedagogy or education, along with some job experience. Ideally, you could gain experience in the area of program organization and co-worker management. Affectionate treatment of children, team spirit, flexibility and resilience are required, just as the operation of MS Office and open-mindedness towards quality assurance. Apart from organizational skills and communication, you have first class English and/or German language proficiency. You are enthusiastic for new topics and projects and open-minded towards your teammates. You bring along a high degree of your own initiative and enjoy working enthusiastically with children and adolescents from 5 to 15 years of age. |
