The challenge
The quality of a school concept is defined and permanently improved by the pedagogic and human capabilities of teachers implementing it in their day-to-day operation.
Your central task is the targeted production, organization and reflection of teaching and learning processes. As a class teacher, you will convey fundamental knowledge and skills making it possible to individuals to independently master the process of lifelong learning.
You will ensure motivating communication in the class setting and, at the same time, provide help and advice to students and parents. You will be the integration figure for the class, represent their interests in the school contexts and convey the fundamentals of the school in its day-to-day operation.
Your skills are continuously improved and utilize suitable opportunities for continuous education and advance trainings in order to recognize and apply new pedagogic teaching concepts and scientific knowledge in your activity.
As a class teacher, you will teach the subject combination of German / English / Mathematics and Art Education in English and implement the international educational program of the Berlin Metropolitan School for your professional field.

Your profile
You have successfully passed the 2nd state examination and ideally, you have work experience in an international setting. Since you will work in an international, bilingual school, you are familiar with PYP, MYP and IB. Apart from organizational skills, assertiveness and sense of responsibility, you possess a high integration and communication competence. With passion and dedication, you make children enthusiastic towards education and are open-minded towards working in an international team. First-class language proficiency in English and/or German are required just as handling MS Office.
