Registrar/RMO in Surgery/Orthopaedics – you will be based in a high profile Private Hospital in
the Leinster region (Ireland) providing full time support to an experienced Consultant team.
Main Duties:
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
• The post holder will work with all members of the multidisciplinary team, medical and nonmedical
to provide a seamless service for patients
• Diagnose and treat patients under the direction of the consultant surgical and medical staff
• Assist the Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in theatres and in emergencies assist in other
theatres as required
• Document patient assessment, history and physical on admission and write appropriate
follow up comments in case notes
• Work as part of the Pre Assessment service
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests as clinically required
• Initiate and monitor treatment as clinically appropriate and safe
• Carry out clinical procedures as requested by Consultants
i administer IV drugs
ii cannulate/site IV lines
iii venopuncture
iv catheterise male patients
v ECGs
• Lead nursing staff in emergency/cardiac arrest procedures
• Discuss care with patients and relatives as appropriate
• Further own knowledge of diagnosis and management
• Participate in programmes of research, education and training
6-12 month contract with imminent start date. All applicants should have or be in the process of
applying for Registration with the Irish Medical Council.
Salary: €41000 – 58000 p/a + 20% bonus + overtime (double pay) |
