I am really interested to continue my career as Engineer back in Canada. On September 2005 I finished my postgraduate studies of MSc in Mechatronic Systems Engineering at Lancaster University in the United Kingdom, England.
I have two years work experience in the metalwork and automotive trim interiors industry as process engineer at Parker Hannifin Mexico and more recently as manufacturing engineer at Magna Intier Automotive, respectively.
In addition to my work experience, I have one year teaching experience as Undergraduate Lecturer at Technological University of Mexico in Mexico City and Spanish Language Teacher at Dallas Road Community Primary School located in Lancaster, United Kingdom.
As part of my main duties during my work experience at Parker Hannifin Mexico were to be responsible of the quality manufacturing process of filters-regulators-lubricators (FRL) and supervising the assembly lines by doing scheduled audits on the shop floor throughout the shift. Also I was in charged of coordinating improvements along with people from the same group in Richland, Michigan, U.S.A. in order to make more efficient the production process in terms of lean and quality.
On the flip side, as Manufacturing Engineer at Magna Intier Automotive, I was leading, coordinating and implementing the manufacturing process for the upper, lower and garnish trim for the Chrysler JC49 project since the substrate injection until its final assembly of their components. Furthermore I was in charge of the secondary equipment integration to the injection moulding line in order to improve reliability, efficiency and performance of the manufacturing and assembly process
As part of the final stages during my postgraduate studies, a 6-month research project was carried out. The latter was an industry-based project undertaken within both the University and an industrial company in Manchester, England. I was in charge of the development and implementation of a software for the laser cutting process of aerospace metalwork. In order to achieve the due task I used ‘Workspace 4.1’ and ‘SolidWorks 2004’ as this industrial process is performed by a 6-axis robotic arm.
I have high level of leadership skills such as: commitment, responsibility, initiative, plus strong communication and IT skills. I really enjoy working as part of a team although I am able to carry out tasks by my own as well. I am an enthusiastic, self-organised, patient, friendly and energetic person always focused on the customer and results oriented.
I had a great experience teaching Spanish Language to non-native speakers, especially talking British children, due to their energetic and high interest to this language during and after class. I am patient and children-oriented person who loves to get along with kids at their early stages in life. |
