| I have 22 years of experience in the development of projects from basic and detail engineering to construction and start up. From 1987 to 1992 I worked in the CFE, the Mexican electricity company as project engineer for feasibility studies on non conventional energy resources: geothermal, wing, sun. From 1993 to 2001 I worked in the Projects and Construction Department of the biggest fertilizers plant of Latin America (Agroindustrias del Balsas) from Project Engineer to Projects & Construction Superintendent. I participated in the construction and start up of three new plants and extension of two existing, as well as multiple modifications and modernization to existing facilities. My responsibilities were revision/elaboration with the help of a multidisciplinary team of basic and detail engineering, some equipment design, plant design, specification and selection of equipment, as well as coordination of construction, commissioning and start up stages including procurement. In this company I received training for ISO 9000 And participated on certification as procedures writer and internal auditor. In 1998 I received an awrad to excelence. Currently I work as Project Manager for the steel plant Arcelor Mittal in Lazaro Cardenas, Michoacan, Mèxico. Here I have participated in the construction, commissioning and start up of a vacuum degassing plant, whole managing of the project for a desulfurizing plant and dust and fumes emissions control for one electrical melt shop and materials handling systems. Currently I am managing several projects for Primary and Secondary Emissions Control Systems in this and other plants in Mexico. I have good skills on the use of engineering and general purpose software (drafting, process simulation, design, Office, scheduling, etc.) I speak spanish as native language and english with conversational level enough for working with consultants, suppliers and colleagues. |
