I am 26 years old and first became interested in working in China years ago. The summer after my last year of college I went to China with a group to teach English in a summer camp program run by CIIC in Shanghai. I thoroughly enjoys it and was offered a job with their company to work full time for them. Unfortunately, I was already committed to a job in the USA and was unable to take the position. However, since that time I have always desired to go back and teach English again.
My educational background is not with teaching. In college I studied horticulture and since then I have been working as a landscape designer for a few different companies. My teaching skills/experience comes from teaching in the English summer camp mentioned above, training others in several companies I have worked for as well as preparing and delivering lectures on different aspects of landscaping and horticulture. I am also starting the TESL certificate program in order to become certified to teach English as a second language.
