 Description of position: Seeking a project manager to drive a variety of infrastructure initiatives for the technical teams. Aside for standard PM functions such as project planning, resource management, budget management, and risk/issue tracking, the PM should have a fundamental understanding of infrastructure technologies across servers and network. The PM will manage 10 to 15 small to medium sized efforts that include system upgrades, network device replacement, and system configuration. The ability to manage with competing priorities is essential. This position will report directly to the Director of IT Network and Business Office. Responsibilities include the following: Manage a portfolio of varied infrastructure projects.Develop and manage project plans, issues lists, and implementation. Establish milestone targets to better set and communicate expectations. Develop resource plans and work with functional managers to prioritize work. Properly clarify, identify, and document task responsibility and expectations. Manage project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals. Assess and modify plans as priorities shift throughout the migration. Provide weekly status and work forecasts. Where applicable, work with management to secure funding to execute. dentify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team. Build team coherence through leadership and effective communication.Education: Bachelor's, Masters or equivalent Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota Duration: 4 Months Required Skills: •Ability to manage many projects at the same time •Ability to quickly get up to speed on projects that may already be underway •Have a fundamental understanding of infrastructure technologies across Wintel, Unix, and Network •Ability to clearly articulate objectives and deliverables so that teams understand what is expected of them •5+ years direct work experience in a project management capacity •Strong familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project, Powerpoint •Patience and adaptability with changes in scope and timelines •Ability to drive and lead a dotted line organization.
