A FINANCIAL CONTROLLER, managing a team of six, is needed within a well established not for profit company. Your position will be based in the Gold Coast region of Queensland.

DUTIES
Manage daily operations of the finance department including weekly cash flow, creditor payments and review of monthly balance reconciliations.
Managing a team of 6 including administration staff, payroll and finance officers.
Prepare monthly profit and loss analysis and financial management reports.
Review, analyse and prepare annual financial statements for audit.
Assist with the management of property leases, insurance and assets.
Manage the organisation motor vehicle leases and fleet arrangements.
Analyse, interpret and provide statistical and accounting information for management.
Update all financial policies and procedures including internal control procedures.
Develop and implement annual budgets, budget control systems and monitor.
Provide stakeholders with financial and budget advice.
Manage details of insurance, taxation, legal, FOI and corporate matters.
Manage the recruitment, selection, performance and work priorities of the finance team within HR Policies and Procedures.
Manage and implement EEO, OHS, Risk Management, Quality and Compliance requirements in the workplace.
Position Requirements
Skills / Industry Qualifications Required:ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Chartered Accountant or Certified Practising Account.
Ability to work within company policy and values.
Experienced managing the finance and accounting functions within a medium sized organisation.
Ability to develop and manage budgets and proactive analysis such as financial models, costings and policies.
Advanced problem solving skills.
High level of managerial skills, including people management experience.
Well-developed verbal, written, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
High level of organisational skills.
Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of financial reporting packages.
Experienced in the implementation of OHS, EEO, quality management and risk management procedures and systems.


DESIRABLE CRITERIA
Experience with a not for profit organisation.
