POSITION SUMMARY: The positions are available at a Medical Corporation that work collaboratively to deliver high quality, patient centered care to Qatar's growing and diverse nations throughout eight highly specialized hospitals, sub-acute care services and the national Ambulance Service. The Medical Corporation aims to become a globally recognized centre for healthcare excellence. Highly skilled individuals are required. Position responsibility is to bridge the gap between the physician's clinical language and coding requirements as well as undertake concurrent coding and provide immediate learning to health care providers. You will be working on ward level with the Nursing/Medical staff to enhance the quality of documentation and the ability of the coding team to do accurate and reliable coding. You’re role will be to ensure that inaccurate documentation and data are addressed in order to ultimately reduce payments to the organization. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: Facilitating improvement in the overall quality, completeness and accuracy of medical documentation .Conducts immediate learning techniques. Obtaining appropriate clinical documentation through extensive interaction with physicians, nursing staff, other care team members, and medical records coding staff. Educating all members of health care providers on documentation guidelines on an on-going basis. Demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Demonstrating knowledge of the principles of growth and development over time. Maintaining quality admission reviews. Completing follow-up of admission reviews. Supporting the growth and development of care team members. Participating in performance improvement activities. Monitor the completeness, timeliness and accuracy of clinical data. Maintain and further enhance the levels of coder-clinician interaction. Ensure that both clinicians and managers maintain a high level of confidence in the quality of the data. To provide a source of expertise and guidance on diagnostic and procedure coding to all disciplines within the Corporation and across the health economy. Checks and analyses medical records for accuracy, adequacy and consistency of documentation. Account for daily discharges and performs audit as necessary. Perform other related functions. CONTRACT PACKAGE: An exceptional and competitive recruitment package will be offered to successful candidates. 3 Years contract renewable. TAX-FREE salaries (approx. QAR 30912 per month, which is +/- NZD 10100), free furnished family accommodation, free medical cover, free annual return flight tickets, state-of-the-art equipment and work environment, end of contract BONUS and other benefits. | Skills / Industry Qualifications Required: | Minimum: Degree in Health Information Technology or Medical Records or a Nursing Degree/Diploma EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Physician / Nursing experience. Strong training background in coding and reimbursements / nursing. Ability to interact with Medical Staff (Physicians, nurses, etc). Ability to interpret clinical data and advise accordingly. Management experience. Proven ability to work with people, form close interpersonal relationships and the ability to influence people. Training experience. Quality review / improvement experience. Documentation Audit experience. |
