Will take direct line responsibility for the Government Relations, Housing and Training Sections of the department. 2.0 STATEMENT OF VALUES: An employee of the American Hospital Dubai is expected to promote the mission and philosophy of the hospital by acting in a caring, courteous, and confidential manner towards, and with, patients, visitors, colleagues, and staff, and by performing their duties and responsibilities according to the expected standards in order to fully meet patient care needs. 3.0 POSITION QUALIFICATION: 3.1 Educational Requirements: 3.1.1 Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent from a recognised educational institute 3.1.2 Member of professional organization such as AHRI, SHRM or equivalent 3.1.3 Excellent command of spoken and written English 3.1.4 Knowledge of spoken Arabic an advantage 3.2 Professional Experience: 3.2.1 Minimum of 5 years experience within a similar role 3.2.2 Previous experience in a hospital setting 3.2.3 Minimum 2 years experience as a Line Supervisor QUANTITY/ORGANISATIONAL SKILLS Oversees the Hospital’s Visa run Program including scheduling, payment, visa processing, and appropriate communication of accurate communication, country specific, visa run information with employees involved. Oversees all areas of the Employee Relations Section, including timely processing and issuance of new and renewal of employment contracts, probationary and annual reviews Responsible for the production of monthly reports to the Director, Human Resources Employee Relations issues. Keeps the Director, Human Resources updated on changes in Immigration, DHA / MOH licensing and other issues affecting the hospital employees. With the Training Specialist, produces monthly reports on training activities and advises on improvements to and additions to the in house and external courses provided by the Hospital. Responsible for the overall supervision of the Hospital Orientation Programme, Employee of the Month / Year and Staff Birthday functions With the Housing Supervisor, produces the housing reports for the monthly Housing Committee meetings, making recommendations for renewal of furnishings of Apartments. Makes recommendations for the efficient use of available Hospital accommodation and advises when additional accommodation will be required. Supervises and ensures accurate individual files are maintained for each individual accommodation unit used by Hospital staff. Supervises and ensures that the Hospital accommodation units are maintained to a high standard including conducting spot checks in all Hospital accommodation. | |
