 In this position, the individual will be responsible for planning, designing, architecting, and managing business intelligence solutions.These solutions support the decision making of external users, Client's Senior Management Team, Business Analysts from core departments (Operations Management, Finance, Billing, Sales). Business Intelligence Solutions will be constructed by utilizing but not limited to the Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence Tool Suite. This individual may work closely with all members of Client's business reporting hierarchy. The Business Intelligence Analyst II will provide support where needed to Manager of Business Intelligence and stand in as department Manager when requested. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The primary functions of the Business Intelligence Team Leader include (but not limited to): Development of enterprise-wide and external client reporting solutions Development of T-SQL queries and MDX Scripts Development and design of end-user reports (SSRS, WebFocus, Tableau Software) Performing testing of reporting solutions Perform the analysis and design for Business Intelligence projects Coordinate multi-departmental project teams and design stakeholder roles. Assure compilation of necessary business requirements from stakeholders. Assess and assign specific tasks to Business Intelligence Analysts as required by business/technical requirements Produce project documentation (e.g., process flow, E-R diagrams, test plan, mockups, project plan) Implement Business Intelligence Solutions Implement ETL processes (Data Transformation Services) needed for Business Intelligence initiatives Implement data architecture work involving SQL Server Enterprise Tools (Stored Procedures, Tables, Views, User Defined Functions) Implement cube architecture using SQL Server Analysis Manager Implement reporting architecture utilizing approved reporting platforms. Assist in implementation of data warehouses and reporting data marts Test Business Intelligence data and reporting architecture solutions Assist in training business users on how to utilize Business Intelligence solutions. | |

| Skills / Industry Qualifications Required: | Experience and Skills: Qualifications: High level of accuracy and attention to detail Must be a Team Player, possess high energy level, and be a self-starter Ability to adeptly handle competing priorities Excellent communication skills Excellent documentation skills Education and/or Experience: Data mining experience desired. Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (MIS or DSS degree preferred). Minimum 2 years experience architecting with SQL Server tools, working extensively with complex databases, warehouses, data marts. Minimum 2 years experience designing and creating advanced reporting solutions, a significant portion of which are OLAP-based reporting solutions. Minimum of 2 years agile development experience Computer Skills: Ability to quickly learn and master reporting software. Mastery of at least one of the following reporting tools: Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services or WebFocus. Significant experience building concise analytical applications. Project design tool use, e.g., MS Project, Visio, Erwin. Proficiency in Excel or Tableau software for the benefit of data analysis. Ability to quickly interpret data structures and complicated SQL within a team environment of agile development and rapid deployment. Experience using ETL tools which rely on SQL to synthesize analytical data structures. Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services strongly desired.
