TITLE : MERCHANDISING AND SALES MANAGER (Luxury Goods: Watches, Jewellery, Fragrances)The Company Designer Shaik Inc., A leading luxury brand from Arabia, is continuing to expand its operations internationally. Renowned for its luxury perfumes & fashion accessories and expanding into exclusive watches & leather goods, we have opportunities in the positions: Visual Merchandising Manager, Senior Product Marketing Manager Ideal Profile The ideal profile is an experienced retail professional with strong background in visual merchandising for luxury brands and specialty stores. The Role Supporting Bahrain-based Product Lifecycle Management functions that include Merchandising, Product Development, Materials Management and Design. The primary system for this purpose is PLM, but this position may also support other evolving technologies. This is customer facing role that consists of production support, R&D/new initiatives and planned capital project. VISUAL MECHANDISING and SALES MANAGER Supporting Bahrain-based Product Lifecycle Management functions that include Merchandising, Product Development, Materials Management and Design. Responsibilities: Business Support Functions •Attend business meetings •Gather market intelligence for branding, campaigning, advertising and alliances •Gather and document business requirements for reports, integrations, and new system functionality •Partner with internal team as well as cross-functional partners to support business processes and system solutions •Represent and support business partners initiatives •Support training & communication activities to facilitate alignment and adoption of system functions •Drive customer centric projects •Provide the Corporate Merchandising team with market and customer intelligence for all distribution channels (wholesale/retail) Merhandising and Sales Functions •Establish strong lines of communication with relevant contacts within the retail market •Provide and oversee trainings for products, grooming and maintenance of fixtures & fittings •Plan and manage the design, production and installation of in store visual and display components, advertising and promotional campaigns •Develop the visual aids, props and fixtures and fittings to allow the best fit for retailers to maximize the presentation of the product image •Define the merchandising strategy and road map to implement the strategy throughout the region •Review and strategise global planning numbers at the beginning of each season and plan strategies accordingly •Ensure brand buy (product range and assortment guidelines) is represented for each store format (boutique or specialist) •Accountable for the product range and assortment of each country in the region following the Brand guidelines •Continuously follow-up on sell-through and pricing across the region to improve trading •Create a business intelligence system for merchandising and sales, analyse and produce reports on quantitative information regarding KPIs (sales performance by country, stores, model, size, etc.) to increase sales and facilitate the development of future collections •Provide the Product Development teams with qualitative feedback (design feedback, market needs, trends, competitive dynamic…) Technical Support Functions •Write functional specifications for system enhancements and change requests •Write test plans and test scripts that validate system functions and the migration & interfacing of data •Execute testing as needed •Serve as application knowledge expert for Product Development Systems, primarily PLM (FLEXPLM) •Participate in training and development activities •Design and implement solutions that support business initiatives and objectives •Monitor and audit system interfaces to ensure data integrity to downstream ERP and Planning systems •Primary Support Systems •Support tracking •Project status and time tracking •Defect management; enhancement tracking, functional Specifications, and QA test scripts. Requirements: 3 – 5+ years experience working in a business analysis or system administrator role working primarily with FlexPLM and/or other PDM Solutions 5+ years practical experience working in an IS role specific to merchandising and/or product development management systems Experienced in business process mapping A 4-year college degree in Information Systems or Fashion Merchandising with practical experience working with technology teams, or other related field | |

| Skills / Industry Qualifications Required: | *Superior visual merchandising and presentation skills set; please submit portfolio *Knowledge of industry competitive landscape and seasonal trends *Proven ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks efficiently *Demonstrate strong business expertise with strong strategic and analytical skills *Proven ability to facilitate visual merchandising training and workshops *Proven ability to assess visual talent and build a high performance team *Extensive visual merchandising/presentation experience with a leading specialty luxury brand *Degree in Interior Design,Architecture or similar *CGI literate with detailed drawing and freehand sketching skills |
