The InteliTrac, Inc. Jr. Java Developer position is designed for energetic entry level developers who enjoy working with people and want to gain a better understanding of how to successfully work individually as well as within groups. This position is structured so the developer has the opportunity to design, develop, test, and integrate with the InteliTrac rapid prototype and development team. This opportunity includes software development, engineering, project management, database development, and systems engineering.  

This position will provide a real-world opportunity for quick responses to customer requests from web-based analytical systems, messaging systems, internal workflow processing systems and other various government contracting opportunities. This offers a unique opportunity to work part of a dynamic team where each member has minimum 15 years of experience and in some cases up to 35+ years.  

This program offers young developers the opportunity to learn and be active in many areas of the developing community such as:

• Design / Architecture of enterprise software applications
• Requirements gathering, assessing, vetting, and migration into design, architecture, feature sets, and features
• Software development, testing, installation, configuration and upgrading
• Programming to include code creation, bug fixes and enhancements, as well as installation, monitoring and configuration programs and scripts
• Discrepancy Report evaluation, vetting, and assignment to a feature
• Assistance to training team on development of training materials to accompany each new software update
• Act as a subject matter expert on machine translation and human translation tools
• Provide recommendations for incorporating language tools into operations
• Monitor translation requests in IC database records
• Update IC database records to track requests
• Perform network transfers of media
• Scan, digitize, store, and track media in accordance with SOPs
• Provide updates to Government staff on database issues
• Maintain metrics on all documents and media managed by the NTS team
• Provide reports on status of documents on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
• Participate in weekly database user discussion forums and meetings
Position Requirements
Skills / Industry Qualifications Required:Qualifications
• Some knowledge and interest in JAVA / J2EE
• Interest in Object Oriented Design and Development
• Interest in relational database systems (MySQL, Oracle)
• Interest in processing XML, specifically using Java
• Interest in full life-cycle software development
• Some knowledge and interest in data modeling methodologies
• Excellent customer relationship skills
• Some knowledge and interest in Agile development process
• Familiarity with Java database persistence frameworks (Hibernate, iBatis)
• Working knowledge of Windows Servers OS
• Familiarity with Natural Language Processing or information processing tools and technologies (Attensity, Gate, UIMA)
• Familiarity with categorization rules engines (Jess, Drools)
• Must successfully pass detailed background check
• Must be U.S. citizen

Education
• College degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or related disciplines (preferable)
Required Language Skills:
  • English - Very good
Education Level Required:Bachelor
