 Making Waves is looking to appoint native web editors with Norwegian to run a reward winning and prestigious tourism website. The web editor will be responsible not only for publishing comprehensive and unique content, but also for ensuring company’s continued success in the tourism media field. Working closely with other online editors you will attract the core local user groups and develop quality content which links the print and web products. Your job will also involve translations. Job Description - Copyedits articles as needed, reviews prepared pages of text and product templates, reviews graphical elements, tables and charts, writes editorials and articles - Takes responsibility for grammatical accuracy, clarity, completeness, appropriateness of the articles for target audience, and conformity to established standard format guidelines of Visit Norway web page - Is in charge of content tagging and linking, picture adjustment - Does the web content translations - Develops, maintains, and utilizes knowledge of travel industry and trends, competitive environment - Establishes and maintains positive professional relationships with industry experts, and other internal and external contacts - Performs additional duties as assigned We offer - Full-time employment - Challenging job in an international business oriented environment - Training in usage of the CMS EPiServer - Attractive social package Recruitment process: - First interview via Skype - Translation of the text - Second interview in the office in Poland (Making Waves pays for flight tickets). | Skills / Industry Qualifications Required: | - The candidate must be native in Norwegian - The candidate must also be fluent in English - Must be web literate and familiar with latest internet tools such as SEO, Google Analytics - Must have experience working with web content management systems - Must have strong writing skills, previous editorial experience will be an advantage - The candidate must be able to demonstrate competency in use of editing and proofreading skills to resolve stylistic, grammatical, and form of written material - Must cope with translations (English to Norwegian) - The candidate must be self-organized and self-motivated to work independently and with minimal direction - Must possess excellent written and oral communications skills Additional - Multimedia skills and familiarity with editing tools will be an advantage - Experience in targeting a specialist audience will be more than welcome - General knowledge of tourism market will be an asset |
