Play Checkers Board Game Online – English Draughts
Checkers: First, you have to choose if you are going to play against the computer or a friend in this fun and addicting classic board game. You will start, because your checkers will be red. There are some simple checkers rules for those who don’t yet know them:
The players take turns moving one of their own pieces. The checkers are usually named ‘Man’ and ‘King’. A ‘Man’ is an ordinary single checker, which may move one square diagonally and can only move forward (onto an empty square). The ‘King’, which is what a man becomes if it reaches the last rank, may move back and forward. In this game, captures are mandatory. If a square diagonally in front of a ‘Man’ is occupied by an opponent’s checker, and if the square beyond that checker in the same direction is empty, the ‘Man’ may jump over the opponent’s checker and land on the empty square. The opponent’s piece is then removed from the board. If in the course of single or multiple jumps the man reaches the last rank, becoming a king, the turn shifts to the opponent. No further ‘continuation’ jump is possible. You will see that the rules are not as confusing, as it may seem at first, when you will begin to play the game. Good luck!
How to Play: Left click on a checker using your computer mouse and while still holding it, drag the checker to the place you want him to be put.
