Pottery
This course will initiate the students to the many techniques of (throwing) pottery on wheel. They will learn how to wedge, turn, trim, assemble, finish and decorate their own pieces. They will discover the differences among the various types of clay and their particular characteristics. The teacher will also show the basic notions of decorating with slips, glazes and engobes.

Sculpture
Learn the different sculptural languages that will be introduced including: the glyptic (substaction), the plastic (substitution), and the linear (addition).

Painting
There is no experience necessary for this fun introductory painting class. Become familiar with the medium of acrylic and learn the basics of colour mixing, brushwork and composition. Subjects explored will comprise of figurative, representational and abstract styles.

Digital Photography
In this, we will cover the skills you need to use your digital point and shoot or entry level SLR camera to its full potential, plus the basics of a digital workflow. Focus, perspective and camera controls will be covered. Esthetic considerations such as choice of subject, framing, lighting and composition will also be addressed.

Language
Our comprehensive French and English language programmes are designed to help students develop their language skills through a diverse range of language activities. Classes are based on a curriculum of integrated skills including reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary and idioms, with a particular emphasis on speaking and listening. Grammar instruction is presented in such a way that allows students to participate actively and easily grasp the fundamental concepts, through the use of role plays, discussions and group projects.

With no more than ten in a class, each student receives the personalised attention they require to guide them towards fluency. Instructors use a variety of teaching resources, from films to magazine, CDs and games, which allow pupils learn in a creative, fun and relaxed environment. We also offer French and English conversation groups on a regular basis.
