Portuguese Language Courses in Florianopolis, Southern Brazil

The Language Club, Florianópolis:
The Language Club is a 15-year-old institution strongly commited to the language education. We are known for our quality teaching and communicative based methodology. Cultural activities are developed for students to interact with the environment, language, people (i.e. practice classes such as visit to supermarkets, banks and trekking in the neighborhood). The language club offers a friendly multicultural environment where everyone is welcome to exchange experiences while learning a new language.

Portuguese as a Foreign Language:
Portuguese courses are mostly private: 1 teacher, 1 student. The courses are organized in modules of 15 hours that can be done in 1 week (Monday to Friday) with daily classes of 3 hours, or 2 weeks with daily classes of 1 and a half hours. Students can choose to enroll 2 or 3 modules according to their preferrence, and discounts are offered for that. Our Portuguese course includes a lot of practice, conversation, from the very beginning. Our program includes beginner to advanced levels, and in order to place students in the appropriate one, placement tests based in the CELPE-Bras are offered.

CELPE-Bras:
It's a proficiency certificate in Portuguese language for non native speakers developed by the Ministry of Education. It is the only Brazilian profeciency certificate in Portuguese language officialy acknowledged, and it's internationally accepted. The Language Club offers individual classes for students who wish to prepare themselves for this exam.
