Teaching methods:
Our programmes are designed to prepare individuals for employment and/or further education. The broad range of business and technology subjects available provides comprehensive exposure to the core areas of business and management. Learning is an experience that occurs both individually and between you and your fellow participants. It is themeans by which you take in the theories, models, cases and other information that you are confronted with, how you synthesise them internally and finally, how you apply them in your daily work life as well as in your personal life.
At IBaT the focus of our teaching method is on creating learning together with our participants and staff. This is achieved through dialogue based and interactive lectures and discussions. We believe that competencies are not developed through one-way communication, but rather through a discussion of theories and the participants’ experiences.

Location:
Swords is a breath of fresh air, close to coastal attractions such as Malahide and Portmarnock as well as all the nightlife, leisure and cultural opportunities you’d expect from a large town near Dublin’s city centre. Swords boasts the largest selection of nightclubs and pubs on the northside of Dublin outside of the city-centre. The town has a wide range of shops, banks, pubs and other businesses, including the large modern Pavilions shopping centre. The Pavilions Shopping Centre is one of Ireland's largest shopping centres, which has all the high street brand names to choose from.
Swords is perfect for student life; vibrant and full of activity, yet compact enough to get around easily. There are countless pubs and numerous restaurants and cafes in the Swords area too. Culturally, Dublin has it all: cinemas (mainstream, international, and independent), major theatre productions, concert halls, art galleries and museums, and numerous clubs and venues for dance, urban, jazz, rock, pop, and folk music.
While Swords is one of the biggest towns in Ireland it has retained its medieval charm. Swords Castle is situated in the centre of this ancient town. It is the former residence of the Archbishop of Dublin and it is the only fortified residence of the Archbishop to survive in its original state today. The castle was built over a period of 400 years starting before 1200 AD.
Malahide and Portmarnock (4 km) - The college is well placed for visiting local attractions, such as the seaside towns of Portmarnock, Howth and Malahide, once a small fishing village and now a pretty, designated heritage town with a majestic 14th century castle.
