Honours Degree in International Business:
This level 8 Bachelor of Business (HonsBusiness Schools / MBA Programs) is a four year programme and has been devised to include subjects that support best international business management practice. The broad range of business subjects offered by the course provides comprehensive exposure to the core areas of strategy, finance and banking, operations and other functional areas with a focus on conducting business across international borders. The course is recommended for students wishing to enter the workplace at a higher level or for entrepreneurs wishing to set up their own business.

Students will have the opportunity to vary the focus of their Bachelor of Business programme by selecting from the elective group options.

Bachelor of Business Degree:
This three year degree programme builds upon the areas of management, ICT, Finance and Business which are introduced to students in year one and year two of this programme. The programme is for school leavers who wish to pursue a career in business, management or related fields and also mature students who wish to improve their career prospects. Students will build upon their introduction to business and management functions to develop a range of skills, including analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary in the modern business environment.

Further Study:
Students who successfully complete this programme, can enter the final year of the honours degree programmes in Marketing, Business Information Systems or International Business.

HETAC qualifications, as the national qualifications of a constituent EU member state, are recognised internationally. Holders of HETAC qualifications can access a wide range of postgraduate and professional programmes both in Ireland and Business Schools / MBA Programsabroad.

Higher Certificate in Business:
This two year programme will provide students with the relevant knowledge and skills to enable them to make a significant contribution within modern business, commercial or administrative environments. The programme is for school leavers who wish to pursue a career in business, enterprise or related fields and also mature students who wish to improve their career prospects. The learning process in this course involves lectures, tutorials, practicals, workshops, case studies and interactive learning. Lecturers actively encourage participation in classes. This course is particularly strong on both
finance and information technology.

Further Study:
Students who successfully complete their programme will qualify for entry onto the final year of the ordinary degree programmes (Level 7 awards) or year 3 of the BA (Hons) business degree programmes (Level 8 awards).

Certificate in BBusiness Schools / MBA Programsusiness Studies:
This FETAC Level 5 and one year programme has been designed to provide the student with an appreciation and understanding of the concepts, issues and insights in business. This programme will provide students with the relevant knowledge and skills to enable them to make a significant contribution within modern business, commercial or administrative environments. This course aims to equip students to meet the needs of a growing economy for personnel with business administration and information technology skills. Students will be introduced to the diverse aspects that comprise a business enterprise or other organisation. They will also gain an understanding of the concepts and processes of management.

Degree in Applied Accounting (ACCA):
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants is the world's largest and most respected professional accountants association, with more than 370,000 students and members in 170 countrieBusiness Schools / MBA Programss worldwide. The Fundamental level on this course is divided into two modules - Knowledge and Skills. The Knowledge module (F1-F3) introduces students to the core areas of financial and management accounting. This provides the platform from which the other technical accountancy areas will be studied in greater detail in the Skills module.

The Skills module (F4-F9) contains six subjects which comprehensively cover the main technical areas that any accountant - regardless of their future career aspirations – are expected to have mastered. These comprise law, performance management, taxation, financial reporting, auditing, and financial management. Students are expected to study each level – Knowledge, Skills and Professional level in order. Papers may be attempted from different modules at the same time as long as the modules are attempted in order. Students must ensure that they meet the entry requirements and paper pre-requisites.
