CAMMUA Makeup Academy - Newport Beach:
CAMMUA (Couture Academy of Modern Makeup Artistry) is an elite beauty & makeup artist school located in Newport Beach, Orange County in Southern California. We offer makeup artist training and certification programs to individuals who want to become professional make-up artists. We also have schools in Encinitas in San Diego County and in Upland in the Inland Empire region of Greater Los Angeles. In addition, we provide classes in Whittier, North Hollywood and Burbank, and in NJ and NY. Financing is available for those who qualify.

This school is for those who are serious about making Makeup Artistry their career. Classes are intense and fun. Unlike other makeup schools that are taught by employee makeup artists that come and go, CAMMUA courses are taught by owner and 30 year veteran fashion makeup artist Gia Deo. She takes pride in her students and expects excellence from them.

Make-up Artist Training Classes:

- 2-Day Beauty Essentials Makeup Artist Training Program:
This 14-hour program is taught over 2 weekdays or over a weekend. This class covers the essentials of being a beauty makeup artist.

- 3-Day Advanced Beauty Artist Certification Program:
This 21-hour program can be taught on weekdays or weekends. It includes the 2-day Beauty Essentials program as well as 1 day of Advanced Makeup Techniques classes.

- 4-Day Pro Beauty Airbrush Artist Certification Program:
This 28-hour program is offered over 4 weekdays or over 2 weekends. It includes the 2-day Beauty Essentials program, the 1-day Advanced Makeup Techniques program & a 1-day Airbrush and FX makeup program.

- 5-Day Complete Makeup Artist Certification Program:
This professional make-up artist training program is offered on weekdays or over weekends. It includes the 2-day Beauty Essentials program, the 1-day Advanced Makeup Techniques program, the 1-day Airbrush Essentials and FX makeup program as well as a 1-day Hair Styling for Photography program. 

- 6-Day Working Makeup Artist Certification Program:
This professional make-up artist training program is offered on weekdays or over weekends. It includes the 2-day Beauty Essentials program, the 1-day Advanced Makeup Techniques program, the 1-day Airbrush Essentials and FX makeup program, the 1-day Hair Styling for Photography program and a 1-day Eyelash Extension Course.

- 8-Day Movie Makeup Artist Certification Program:
This professional make-up artist training program is offered on weekdays or over weekends. It includes the 2-day Beauty Essentials program, the 1-day Advanced Makeup Techniques program, the 1-day Airbrush Essentials and FX makeup program, the 1-day Hair Styling for Photography program, the 1-day Eyelash Extension Course and a 2-day Advanced  FX Artistry program.

- Portfolio Development:
Portfolio Development and website can be added to any of the programs listed.

We offer a certificate of completion when you complete our workshops. A certificate is proof that you completed a certain amount of hours and know the basics of makeup, hygiene and set etiquette. It's true that you don't need formal training to be a makeup artist, but it shows when you go on jobs if you really know the industry. The certificate also allows you to get discounts at industry makeup stores in the Los Angeles area. Upon completion, participants will be give a list of locations where they can shop at 20% to 40% off.

Our Instructor - Gia Deo:
Gia Deo is a 30 year veteran in the makeup industry. She has done fashion shows in Milan, Paris, New York, and Los Angeles. Not only is she a makeup artist but she grew up in the world of fashion. She is still a working professional in the industry which is a very important part of why the education at CAMMUA is by far the best and most in depth.
