University of Northern British Columbia MBA Program:
The University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) in Canada offers a 21 month Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program. Classes are held one weekend per month plus students attend two one-week residency sessions, primarily in the city of Prince George, BC. The MBA program covers the major disciplinary areas within business studies, including strategy, economics, accounting, finance, organizational behaviour, marketing, and operations management. We offer smaller class sizes that guarantee quality face-to-face interaction with professors and peers. Classes work on a cohort system which allows students to build a valuable network of colleagues. We also offer a high degree of flexibility to allow students to obtain a graduate degree while maintaining employment.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree Program:

First Year: Classes start with a one week residency session in mid August followed by one weekend of face to face classes each month fom September to April followed by a one week residency session in May.

Second Year: Classes are scheduled one weekend each month in a similar format to the ‘First Year’ from September to April.

Our program offers an exciting transformational learning experience which emphasizes team collaboration encouraging participants to evaluate their abilities and talents so that they may cultivate the skills and expertise needed to reach personal and professional goals. The ideas, perspectives, tools and networking that participants acquire while in the program will have a powerful and lasting impact.

The learning environment mirrors the workplace allowing students the opportunity to develop and hone critical team and leadership skills which can be immediately applied into the workplace. While in the second year of the MBA Program, students are given the opportunity to examine a workplace issue in their organization advancing their skills in the areas of problem definition, data collection and analysis, and a competent written and oral presentation of the conclusions. Due to our weekend format many people find it convenient to travel from other areas to attend weekend classes.


MBA for Working Professionals:

Many individuals in pursuit of an MBA are working professionals. Delivery of the MBA program reflects the work and home life demands of its participants. The program is designed to allow completion of the degree within two years, while continuing to work full time.

The program confers a high-degree of flexibility with classes being held only once per month in a three, and sometimes four-day, session and two one-week residency weeks over two years. The weekend format facilitates attendance and minimizes the need for work release.
