Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
The 4-year Bachelor of Commerce program at the Sauder School of Business provides the academic fundamentals to open any door you choose. Regardless of your career path, your success will depend on your ability to thrive in an environment of constant change. By providing an in-depth understanding of the fundamentals of business, and a range of indispensable management skills, the UBC Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) program will prepare you to meet the challenges ahead.
Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
It is the integration of leading edge knowledge from Canada's foremost research business school with practical, relevant management training that distinguishes the UBC MBA program. Using lectures, case studies, problem-based learning and group projects, the program prepares you to manage, motivate, innovate, and lead.
Classes, exams and program activities are generally scheduled in daytime hours Monday through Friday. Some mandatory academic and professional scheduling takes place in the evenings and on the week-ends. In addition, group projects, study groups, homework and personal study time all take place outside of class hours. Students entering the program should arrange their personal lives such that their schedules are sufficiently flexible to accommodate the full offerings of the UBC MBA program. The workload is intense and demanding, but when you graduate, you'll be ready to make a difference in the way business is done.
Master of Management (MM)
The Master of Management in Operations Research (MM in OR) program at the Sauder School of Business at UBC provides rigorous and practical training in the quantitative analysis of business problems. Administered by the Centre for Operations Excellence (COE), the program prepares students with backgrounds in areas such as engineering, mathematics, economics, or other quantitative fields for rewarding careers as OR analysts and consultants.
MM in OR students work closely with internationally renowned faculty, business leaders, and outstanding peers to develop and realize their goals in a professional business environment. The 16-month program offers a unique blend of technical coursework, practical consulting skills, and real-world problem-solving experience designed to position students for success in today's competitive business world.
