Classes can be held at any of our 3 locations: Downtown (the Loop), Lakeview (North Side) or Rolling Meadows (Northwestern Suburbs); or onsite for usually for private or corporate.

Group Spanish classes
Group Spanish classes are divided into the following four levels:
- Introductory is for students who have no prior - or minimum - experience with Spanish, its grammar or its pronunciation. It covers the basics. Emphasis in pronunciation, basic grammar and vocabulary. This level is divided into: Intro 1 and Intro 2. By the end of this level, students WILL be able to communicate in Spanish in present, future and past.
- Beginners is for students who have completed Intro 1 and 2, or who have some other previous Spanish experience, studies and/or understanding. The knowledge and understanding of the material covered in the previous level is a prerequisite. Pronunciation should not be an obstacle and some conjugation should be recognized. This level is subdivided into 4 sub-levels: Beginners 1, 2, 3 and 4.
- Intermediate is for students who feel comfortable and familiar with the following tenses in Spanish: Pres
ent, preterite, imperfect, future and conditional. This level concentrates in presenting and mastering the use of the subjunctive as well as reviewing the previous tenses. This level is divided into 5 sub-levels: Intermediate 1, 2, 3, 4 and Only-Conversation.
- Advanced is for students who are knowledgeable about the language; can speak it and understand it, but need to practice and review advanced grammar such as Subjunctive, Compound tenses and Passive Voice. Fluency is required. This level is divided into 5 sub-levels: Advanced 1, 2, 3, 4 and Only-Conversation.
Group classes commonly meet once a week for 1.5 hours, for 8 consecutive weeks. All group students are entitled to up to 16 hours of additional tutoring time. All classes cover specific grammar and conversation accordingly to the level. All class exercises and participation are oral. Class participation is a must. Everyone speaks! Grammar is explained in a comprehensible manner for a better understanding of the structuring and its immediate application. Group classes are small, so everyone actively participates. Average size for a group is 3 to 4 students.

Spanish Classes for Children
The Spanish Language Center has a team of teachers that specializes in instruction for your kids.Summer group classes available. Classes are available in small groups at your site. It works best for smaller children to take classes in a comfortable and secure enviroment like home or school. Parents can coordinate with neighbors and friends and put a small group together. SpanishLC will bring the instructor. Parent and kids can take classes together as well. We have school programs where an instructor comes to your school. These programs can be before, during or after school hours.
Other Programs Offered include: Private or Semi-Private Classes; Intermediate or Advanced only conversational groups; Corporate classes tailored to the specifics of the business.
