More than two-thirds of our students live on campus.
As you strive toward full stature, the VES curriculum offers rigorous course work matched with intensive individual attention. Each student is offered an avenue to success with challenging classes that can include seven honors courses and 17 advanced placement courses.
Eight academic departments offer exciting course selections. Our core subjects include:
* Fine arts
* Foreign languages
* Computer Science
At VES, we will get to know you personally, challenge you individually and encourage you to go beyond the talents you possess. Our goal is to help you become your best self.
Transitioning to a rigorous boarding school can be tough, but support is here. Small class sizes (8:1) offer a healthy learning environment. Two full-time resource teachers as well as a list of academic accommodations for students with appropriate educational testing and documentation can offer a necessary boost. Ninth graders receive special support through the Ninth Grade Initiative, which highlights interdisciplinary curriculum, study skills development and community building.
We nourish one hundred percent participation in athletics. Every student plays a sport, and everyone has the opportunity to be part of a team.
