VOX LAB, School of Visual Arts is Singapore’s leading school of media and creative arts - the culmination of real practical experience accumulated over nearly 10 years of ‘in-field’ deployment. We offer certificate courses in the fields of web design, video editing, internet deveopment and print specialist / graphic design training. LAB School also offers training and certification courses for Adobe software programs including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Dreamweaver; Apple Training; 3D animation training and Oracle and Cisco training.

Web Design Certificate Course:
To face the challenges of Web 2.0 with appropriate skills, a new course has been created. The module is composed of a bundle of courses. Part of them are Adobe® CS4 software and part coding. During the coding session, HTML and CSS will be covered. A whole day will also be dedicated to search engines, how to make a web site popular, and how to deal with the most common CMS installed on a server. During this part, we will show a demo from the registration of a domain to the publishing of the web site.
Print Specialist Certificate Course:
This training module has been created for those who are looking for a career change and for those who want to learn the design principles. The
module is composed of a bundle of courses. Part of ic conducted with Adobe® software and the remaining part is theory. The topics covered during theory part are typography, color management and bits of graphic design history.
Print Specialist will cover from A to Z, the creative process for vector and raster art. It is a unique chance to simulate how to:
•collect pictures
•touch them up
•understand color management implications and address them
•create vector art
•layout vector and raster art
•edit text using typography principles
Video Editor Certificate Course:
Few years ago, video editing was pretty much all a post producer was asked to do. Nowadays, the market realized the potential of video on internet. Also a new era for DVD has began. Video editors are now asked to provide more and more in terms of creativity and output. A deep knowledge of new software and new video formats is crucial, as well as the ability to perform a real multimedia export.

•Premiere Pro (about 8 hours)
•After Effects (about 16 hours)
•Encore DVD (about 4 hours)
•Photoshop (about 4 hours)
Other topics:
•Final project, from Premiere to After Effects to Encore to the internet (about 8 hours)
Internet Development Certificate Course:
To face the challenges of Web 2.0 with appropriate skills, a new course has been created. The module is composed of a bundle of courses. Part of them are Adobe® CS4 software and part coding. During the coding session, HTML, CSS and ActionScript CS3 will be covered. Six to seven hours will be dedicated to understand HTML and how to deal with the most common tasks of web 2.0. Six to seven hours will be dedicated to CSS. About twenty hours will be dedicated to ActionScript and how to develop Rich Internet Applications. About fifteen hours will be dedicated to Adobe Flex. During the course, we will cover Adobe DreamWeaver, Adobe Flash, Adobe Flex.
