College Of Design - Ling Tung University:
The College of Design was founded on August 1, 2001. The Graduate Programs contains the Graduate School of Visual Communication Design. the Graduate School of Digital Content Design and the Graduate School of Fashion Design. The building, around 30,000 square meters, includes an Art Exhibition Center, Digital Art Gallery, Virtual Reality Gallery, Outdoor Performance Square, and Theater (and is the largest Design College building in Taiwan).
Government grants and awards:
The developmental plan in the College is now conforming to the national policy of the Cultural and Creative Industry Development Plan, and the e-Taiwan Construction Plan. Since 2000, the College has been receiving more than US$4 million in grants from the Ministry of Education, and the university to build and equip the professional labs.
Location and Facilities:
We encourage national and international academic interaction and involvement. The College of Design especially stresses national and international interaction and involvement in research. Many national and international lectures and conferences have been held in support of the college. LTU will continue this effort to better its contributions in academics.
Creating a visible and prosperous college reputation:
The goal of the College of Design is to establish itself as a leader in all of its related activities. To date, the College has obtained a good reputation and broad appreciation. In the future, the College plans to integrate all curricula in the College of Design, to became equipped with the newest technology, and to work with enterprises and businesses to create one of the premiere design colleges in Taiwan.
