The International English School is located in Somerset West outside of Cape Town in South Africa. We have been offering English classes since May 1995 in this safe and small town and enjoy an excellent international reputation. The School caters to the international and local market and has shown remarkable growth since its inception. The school specialises in both academic and business English. The programme for academic English is unique in the Western Cape. Over 350 business students ranging from pathologists, accountants, top management to middle and low management, secretaries and receptionists have successfully completed courses with TIES in the last 10 years.

General English class

All of our classes are taught by fully qualified and experienced instructors. TIES offer six levels of English with courses in Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing, Vocabulary, Pronunciation and Grammar
Improve your language skills for academic study, conversation, business and career needs. Six levels of high-quality English classes are offered, from beginner to advanced. Some students may be stronger in some aspects of English than in others, the TIES program allows you to enrol in each type of course at the level which is most appropriate for you. Example: A student could take advanced level reading and writing courses + intermediate level speaking and pronunciation courses.
Max 6 students per class. Personal attention. From 0830 - 1030 and again from 1100 - 1300 daily. Come for any length of time you want - one week to 45 weeks.
Young Learners
Come for 6 months academic English and we will help you enrol at a local high school to complete your schooling in an English speaking quality envirnoment. South Africa has some of the world's best private schools. Once you start your high school programme we can offer you private lessons.
Exam preparation
All of the British (Cambridge) and American exams can be taken in Cape Town. Come study with us and we will enrol you into the exam of your choice. FCE< IELTS< TOEFL< PET< CPE. Small classes ensure you have the personal attention you need. Private lessons can supplement your general English course.

TIES COURSE OFFERINGS
Business English courses are tailored according to the needs of the client and the capability level of the participants.
- Intensive courses of 140 hours, 7 hours a day over four weeks, including two dinners a week. One is a 'working' dinner where a guest speaker will speak for an hour. The other will be an evening of entertainment and relaxation. There will also be four weekend excursions in and around the area included in the price.
- Individual courses tailored to the inherent standard of the client, ranging from 10 hours in length to individual student requirements. These courses are one-on-one and aim to maximise the learning experience for the participant.

English and Sport
We offer rock climbers and cyclists a unique experience. Come study with us and we will take you climbing / cycling in your free time. Expert and qualified sports instructors are part of our offering. Some of the top bike races in the world take place in the Western Cape annually and our mountains are amongst the most impressive - whether you are a beginner or a seasoned climber - there is something for everyone.
