EF Education was founded in Sweden in 1965 by Bertil Hult. Today we are the world's largest private education company, with a group of fourteen subsidiaries and non-profit organizations centered around language learning, educational travel, cultural exchange and academic programs. EF Cape Town is our first International Language School of English under the African sun that opened in November 2006.

Our mission is to break down language barriers as well as cultural differences and geographical distances which separate us. We would like us all to be one enjoying learning new languages and aspects of other cultures and backgrounds.

We believe in effective communication skills and use the most modern learning audio and visual technology - known as the exclusive Efekta™ System to teach our students. .All courses include SPIN classes as well: South African studies; Business Language; English for Humanitarian Work; English for Tourism and much more.

Our Teachers are all South African and are CELTA qualified and all of them have also travelled and taught English abroad.

Our Activities Coordinator also ensures that our students practice their English outside of the school by organizing Activities, Sports Events and Excursions in and around Cape Town.
