Portland’s popular, efficient transit system is easy to use and is free throughout the 300-block downtown area known as Fareless Square. Portland’s more than 90 transit lines serve the entire Tri-Met area of downtown and surrounding suburbs. Light-rail also serves the Portland International Airport.

Portland International Airport is only 25 minutes from IH Portland. Daily flights arrive from Japan and Germany with several more direct flights scheduled soon. All major airports in the country serve the Portland area, so connecting flights are easily arranged. A tram service to downtown is available. The school arranges gate to door transfer service or taxis and shuttle buses are convenient options.
