Why is this degree different?
The Acting & Global Theatre degree offers students training in acting techniques from a range of world theatre cultures. Through its comparative study of world theatres, you will explore your creative potentials in acting, voice, movement, and theatre-making. All students enrolled on this degree spend a compulsory semester abroad at one of our partner institutions in the US, Australia, Chile or the Czech Republic.

Why is this degree different?
The Creative Industries degree will provide you with the transferable skills to create, produce and manage within the media industries. It will provide you with the broad training necessary to work at any level in the creative industries, across both creative and decision-making management roles.

Who is this course for?
People who want to work in the creative industries, but without necessarily being an originator of material. Why is this degree different?
The Screenwriting & Producing degree will develop the new breed of writer-producers who have the ability to both create work and produce it – individuals who can work on both sides of the film and television industry. In doing so it goes further and encompasses more than a pure creative writing degree – it marries together both creative development and management skills.

Who is this course for?
As a writer, this degree will nurture your creative development, but will also sharpen your business acumen and understanding of the production process. The Film, TV & Digital Media Production Degree responds to changes in the modern broadcast landscape, you will learn about ‘360-degree broadcasting’, alongside the traditional skills of drama, documentary, studio and outside broadcast training. ‘360-degree broadcasting’ refers to the range of different platforms on which we are now able to broadcast, watch and interact with media. This is the only course of its kind in the UK.

Master of Arts (MA) in Writing for Screen & Stage:

Why is this degree different?
It is in the delivery and structure of the MA in Writing for Screen & Stage that makes this degree different. The programme is divided into three stages; each stage comprises 7 months of study. It is taught by a mixture of five one week residential periods on campus that take place across the three stages. These are combined with periods of off-campus distance learning – at home or in fact anywhere in the world.

Who is this course for?
This programme is designed for people who wish to develop an alternative career as a professional writer, or who already write for pleasure and wish to increase their creative range, or who simply have ideas which they wish to turn into scripts for theatre or screen performance. We offer exceptional entry to the MA Writing for Screen & Stage for candidates who either do not meet the formal academic requirements, or whose qualifications were obtained a significantly long time ago and cannot provide formal evidence of these qualifications. The MA Creative Leadership is a new, contemporary and revolutionary programme, addressing leadership from a diverse range of disciplines. We are a Professional Art Studio, located in a Grade II listed building in the conservation area of Mapledurham, just outside Reading, Berkshire, South East England, 45 miles (70 km) west of London. We have a Painting Studio, where everyone has their own Professional Easel, painting table, paints, brushes, canvases, high stool etc. We also have an upstairs Lounge, with art books and a photo library plus an art gallery.

We offer you a variety of Painting Holidays and Courses in a Professional Studio and with a Master Painter & her artists. All your professional art materials are provided. Our courses are very exciting, different and creative. Your tutor paints along with you and guides you through every stage. Brush control, brush strokes, different techniques for different effects, composition, tonal values, focal points, colour balance, perspective and drawing. The emphasis is on you and developing your own style. We want to bring out the artist in you. So the courses are not 'prescriptive' but designed to help you learn to paint.
