The Certificate in Exercise & Health Fitness is the only University accredited fitness qualification in Ireland. It is a Level 6 award on the National Qualification Framework of Ireland. It is the core qualification of the National Council for Exercise and Fitness (NCEF). The NCEF is an academic affiliate of the University of Limerick and all of the qualifications are accredited and awarded by the University. The NCEF was established in 1987 and it provides comprehensive education and training for fitness instructors/personal trainers in Ireland. Motions Health & Fitness has been an NCEF training centre since 1989.

The ITEC Diploma in Holistic Massage is the most widely recognised qualification for massage therapists in Ireland and the UK. The International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC) is based in London and is the largest international examination board offering a variety of vocational qualifications in beauty, complementary and sports therapy. ITEC qualifications are on the National Qualification Framework and are recognised nationally and internationally.

The Diploma in Sports Massage is an advanced qualification awarded by ITEC. The qualification is a progression from the Diploma in Holistic Massage. It is designed to meet the demand for highly trained therapists with skills suitable for dealing with all aspects of sports massage. The ITEC qualifications have international recognition as well as being part of the National Qualification Framework in Ireland and the UK.
