Located in Miami, FL, Coral Rock Academy is dedicated to providing a nurturing environment that allows students the opportunity to reach their full potential academically, socially and emotionally through the creation of a dynamic partnership between home, school and community. Our philosophy is that children do well if they can. When they are not doing well, we work collaboratively with them to identify and remove the obstacles while we build the skills to be successful. Our Student Profile: Diagnosed with one or more of the following neurobiological disorders (NBDs): Anxiety Disorder, Asperger' Syndrome, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Childhood Onset Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Nonverbal Learning Disability, Tourette's Syndrome; As measured by a standardized IQ test, the student has average or above average ability; Strong language skills, allowing him/her to verbalize his/her thoughts and needs; Behavioral problems that are the result of compulsions, dysinhibitions, fears, hyperactivity, impulsions, obsessions, mood swings, social skill deficits, and/or tics. This program is not designed for the aggressive student.

Special Education School for Children in Grades 4-12. Our Curriculum is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA). This means that we maintain consistency and standards in education that are upheld by peer institutions. Upon completion of the program, students receive a University of Miami Online High School (UMOHS) diploma. UMOHS follows the State of Florida standards for graduation requirements.
