E.L.F.E., Paris:
Looking for a French course for foreigners in Paris? Elfe has been specialising in teaching French as a foreign language to adults in small groups of 6 people for 20 years. We are a small school and we know each of our students individually: a family atmosphere, coupled of course with highly professional teaching methods. Elfe occupies a charming 19th Century mansion house in the centre of Paris, 15 minutes on foot from the Opera and less than 10 minutes from Montmartre. The school is situated at the heart of the Villa Ballu, and has the advantage of calm and leafy surroundings which are exceptional in the city. We offer French courses in mini-groups for a maximum of 6 people. These mini-groups enhance teaching efficiency, optimising participation and interaction and developing the student’s autonomy within the class. The 6 levels, from elementary to upper advanced, are in conformity with the levels defined by the European Council.

Methodology:Two teachers alternate in working with each mini-group. This allows students to remain independent in their learning and to benefit from different personalities and teaching styles.
Our efficient and dynamic teaching methods are characterised by:
- a variety of activities and learning strategies;
- personalised teaching and pedagogical supervision;
- a relaxed, intercultural working atmosphere based on interaction.
This approach naturally encourages the students' active and spontaneous participation.

Cultural Activities:Participate in our cultural workshops; language and culture go hand in hand.
Language learning is much more pleasurable if it is also an enriching experience. This is why we want you to discover Paris, to be initiated into French life and savoir-faire.
In the 19th Century, the ninth arrondissement was the heart of the city of Paris. Musicians, painters, writers had established themselves here: Chopin, Delacroix, George Sand, Emile Zola and many others…
Let's hope that this prestigious environment will inspire you and that you will learn to love the eclectic nature of French culture.
With the exception of the cookery demonstration at the Ritz, all the cultural options require a minimum of 3 students and an intermediate or advanced level of French.
