French Language Courses in Lille, France

ICL-Clarife, Lille:
ICL-Clarife is the language centre for the Institut Catholic de Lille, France's largest private university. Located in the heart of Lille, in the Euro-region between Amsterdam, Brussels, London and Lille, ICL-Clarife organises complete French language and civilisation study programmes for non-French speakers. Our aim is to provide foreign language learners with full-service French language programmes, face-to-face teaching, lodging, meals and cultural visits, for groups or individual participants. Expression and Civilisation:Ideal for adults who, for various reasons, would like to develop and improve written and oral expression, and to become operational in everyday situations.

2-hour morning classes, 9:00 to 11:00, Monday to Friday, with approximately one hour of self-study per day.


Summer University:For students and younger learners (minimum age: 16) looking for a more intensive immersion programme.

3 weeks during July, approximately 20 hours per week, schedule from Monday to Friday to leave weekends free for travel


Pre-University Preparation:The course responds to the needs of international students coming to Lille on a university exchange. Academic preparation with content material in general aspects and specifics of French culture.

3 ½ hours of class each morning, plus approximately 7 hours of conversation per week (1 or 2 hours of personal study per day for ideal optimisation).


DELF/DALF Preparation:For learners currently studying or working in Lille, who would like to establish and/or improve a target language level, and prepare for official validation of language skills.

2 hours per week over a 25 week period (Tuesday, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m).


Spring programme:A more intensive and rich French language programme, including a literature and cinema module, for students or individuals with intermediate language skills.

15 hours of face to face per week on average, with classes programmed between Monday afternoon and Friday morning, to allow for weekend travel.
