Curriculum:
Our school follows a curriculum based on the British National Curriculum. The British School Curriculum was chosen because it has clearly defined series of academic objectives at ev
ery level, known as the Key Stages.
Pre-School Program (The Foundation Stage):
The Foundation Stage includes Nursery (3–4 year olds) and Reception (4-5 year olds). During this time the children playfully learn and develop their speaking, listening, dancing, singing, stories and counting. They learn through doing and by using all their five senses. They develop their basic skills which is necessary and useful for the start when they reach Year One. During Reception reading is introduced and children can take some books to read at home.
The Foundation Stage Curriculum is based on the British National Curriculum. At this stage the curriculum is divided in the the following six areas:

Primary School Program (National Curriculum Key Stage One and Two):
The core subjects at Key Stage One are English and Maths. At the end of Key Stage One children sit for SAT Tests in the core subject. Below is a list of the all the subjects that they do.

The key stage Four Curriculum:
There are 10 subjects at Key Stage 4 (14-16 years old). These are the GCSE courses and consists of 4 core subjects namely English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, Science and a foreign Language. The other 4 courses can be chosen from the a range of the other subjects.
The assessment of these courses is done at the end of Year 11 and results in the award of the GCSE Certificates.
Assessment:
At the end of each Key Stage the children sit for standardised tests in the core subjects. The children are expected to reach specific Levels, depending on their capability.
