Children's Garden Montessori of Oak Park, west of Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, is a Montessori Pre-school & Kindergarten programs for children of all races, religions and national origin. Children's Garden Montessori pre-school is a privately owned and operated school chartered in Oak Park and licensed by the Department of Children and Family Services. We serve Oak Park, Melrose Park, Galewood, Montclare, Elmwood Park and surrounding communities. Children must be at least 2 yrs old before entry and can stay until they complete the Kindergarten Year. We employ both Montessori & Early Childhood Education trained teachers.

Preschool Program:
The purpose of the school is to provide a creative, social, educational, and most importantly, an enjoyable experience for your child. S/he will be able to associate with other children and responsive adults in an environment specifically tailored to the needs of young children. Your child will enjoy a variety of individual and group activities through interaction with o
ther children and adults as well as through play with various manipulatives and toys.
We offer both an English as well as a Spanish Language Immersion Program. At Children's Garden we believe very strongly that young children learn through talking and playing with peers in an environment that supports their efforts at socialization. We consider that all of their time with us is a valuable learning experience and we structure our activities centered on their needs.
Our classrooms have many developmentally appropriate educational materials as well as games and picture books to help young children learn. Themes are planned monthly with special activities through which children glean concepts of time, distance, and learn about health and care of the environment. Academics are introduced to the children through games and stories.

Summer Program:
Our summer program operates from June through August. During the summer months, children attend the Oak Park's swimming instruction program at a public swimming pool, which is near our facility. The children are walked to and from the pool by our staff, who also stay at the pool for supervision. Every Friday during the Summer is reserved for field trips. These may be inside or outside the school. During the warm weather months we also enjoy picnics and outdoor games.
