Jolly Fun House Playschools cater for kids ages 6 weeks to 5 years through our Infant program, Toddler/Two Years program, and Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten program. We have three locations in Illinois, in Chicago City, Norridge and Prospect Heights. Our facility in Chicago enjoys a central location serving Irving Park, Albany Park, Avondale, Hermosa and Belmont communities. Infants:
The infant program provides your child with a safe, nurturing and loving environment complete with
sensory stimulation through music, story time, creative art, free play and large motor activities.
Toddler/Two Years:
This is a child-centered program conducted in a warm and loving environment where your child’s activities will include art, music, story time and language, emphasizing the development of fine and gross motor skills. From potty training to ABC’s, we provide guidance and encouragement when children are most ready to learn.
Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten:
Emphasis is placed on your child’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical developmental needs on an individual basis. Programs include music, creative arts, dramatic play and literature. We round out the curriculum with language arts for 3-4 year olds and the Distar Reading Program and advanced Distar Language Arts and math for 4 year olds. Fine and gross motor activities are incorporated into the programming for this entire age group. Your child’s curriculum include
s gross motor skills, music, art, calendar and weather study and listening skills.
Kindergarten:
This program is especially designed to enable your child to make a smooth and enjoyable transition into first grade. Children are grouped according to ability and are allowed to progress at an individual rate. We use the Baratta/Lorton Reading Program and “Math Their Way” hands-on learning programs to assure the best school beginnings. The small teacher/student ratio (1:20 maximum) assures your child the individualized attention he or she requires. Your child’s Kindergarten year culminates with a graduation ceremony befitting their important achievement.
Primary Grades:
We offer an accelerated educational curriculum using a small (1:20) teacher to student ratio and individualized learning. The program includes mastery introduction in reading, mathematics, social studies, science, literature, language arts, music, art, computer technology and physical education. Before and After School and Holiday Vacation Play Club:
Your school age child will love this Prospect Heights program designed to reinforce a safe and constructive environment. Activities include art, music and sports in our large gymnasium. Children will also have time for study hall and field trips. Transportation is provided for neighboring school districts.
