The Instituto Cervantes is a public institution created in 1991 for the promotion and teaching of the Spanish language. Instituto Cervantes of Chicago, Illinois is a non-profit organization supported by the Government of Spain, offering Spanish courses and Hispanic world cultural activities and libraries in the heart of the Magnificent Mile, serving the Chicagoland area. The Instituto Cervantes also has as its mission to nurture the growth of the Spanish and Spanish-American culture.
