Individual one-on-one instruction for five hours a day is the ideal way to learn a foreign language! Using our interactive immersion method, you'll speak for hours a day instead of for a few minutes. Inhibitions are quickly lost, and you'll make vast progress in a short amount of time. In addition to learning the language, you'll also learn about the realities of life in Guatemala and Latin America, taking away a deeper understanding of this part of the world.
Teaching
Each week you'll get a new teacher, to experience different teaching styles and to talk about different topics. If you wish though, you may also choose to continue with the same teacher. Every Monday, your teacher will assess your strengths and needs, and together you'll devise a lesson plan for the week. And on Friday, you'll assess the progress that you've made.
Assessment
At our school, your Spanish level doesn't have to fit into the mold of beginner, intermediate, or advanced. Because your lesson plan is tailored especially for you, your levels of reading, writing, speaking, and listening are all assessed individually and you work on exactly what you need.
Absolute Beginners to Nearly Fluent
Whether you are a complete beginner, or nearly fluent, our program will perfectly fit your needs. Because instruction is all in Spanish, beginners learn at a remarkable pace, as everything you do, from sitting down to turning a page, is spoken in Spanish and quickly learned. And there is an English/Spanish speaking coordinator on site, so you never have to worry about missing any important information or instructions. Highly advanced students feel just as comfortable, working on such areas as literature and poetry, writing, regional expressions, written or oral translation, specialized vocabulary, and elimination of grammatical errors, in additional to receiving extensive speaking practice.
