Chester College, Galicia:
Located in Santiago de Compostela in the Province of A Coruña, west Galicia in northwest Spain, Chester College International School is a private coeducational day and boarding school founded in 1985. It is authorized by the Spanish Ministry of Education as an International American School. Chester College’s courses are covalidated both in Spain and in the United States of America. During the academic year, it offers a full bilingual program, in English and Spanish, for primary, middle, and high school students of any nationality. During the academic year, the College provides an English/Spanish bilingual education to students of any nationality from kindergarten to grade twelve. Each student is given a study program appropriate to his or hers needs. Moreover, intensive English or Spanish language courses are available to students who need additional language support. We pride ourselves on our personal attention: all classes are small, with an average pupil/teacher ratio of 10:1.

We offer an educational programme from kindergarten to grade 12 to students of any nationality between the ages of 3 and 18. The courses offered are co-validated in Spain and in the United States of America. Intensive Spanish a
nd English classes are organised for those students who are not bilingual. Chester College offers its students a complete education, which will help them to develop their potential and prepare them intellectually for higher study and future careers.

Religious Education
The College offers Religious Catholic Education.
Internal:
Students and their families will receive monthly reports with evaluation grades and detailed teacher comments highlighting progresses and challenges. Final examinations grades are given at the end of the academic year.
External Examinations:
Students who successfully complete grades 11 and 12, and who meet the national requirements, may be entered for the Spanish University Entrance Exam (Selectividad).
All students will be exp
ected to take an external language exam administered by the following internationally-recognized institutions:
• Trinity College London: Examinations in Effective Communication: All levels.
• Instituto Cervantes: Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera. Niveles: Inicial, Básico y Superior.
• University of Cambridge UK. Examinations in English as a foreign language:
Key English Test (K.E.T.), Preliminary English Test (P.E.T.), First Certificate in English (F.C.E.), Cambridge Advanced English (C.A.E.), Certificate of Proficiency in English (C.P.E.).
• Trinity College London: Examinations in spoken English for speakers of other languages. Grades 1 – 12.
Please note: Other national and international examinations will be considered in the light of educational developments internationally, individual needs and changing educational requirements.
Tutor System:
There is a tutor system through which each students is given personal advice and helped to develop fully his or her personality and potential.
