Evangelical Christian Academy, Madrid:
Evangelical Christian Academy is a day and boarding school situated in Camarma de Esteruelas, 35 km northeast of Madrid, Spain. The school exists to serve primarily missionary families by equipping students in the academic disciplines, challenging them to love and care for others. What began in 1973 with one teacher and handful of students in downtown Madrid has now grown into a vibrant, Christian school that serves nearly one hundred students in grades one through twelve. Evangelical Christian Academy exists to serve missionary families by equipping students in the academic disciplines. The vision drives every facet of ECA's existence. ECA offers a challenging, college preparatory curriculum in an American-based system. Students at ECA study Bible each year, and a Christian worldview is integrated into every aspect of the curriculum. We are currently undergoing accreditation by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

Elementary School:
The elementary school at ECA is a nurturing place where students experience the joy of learning. Highly qualified teachers challenge students, tailoring lessons to meet the varying needs of all students. ESL staff work closely with classroom teachers in the elementary school to meet the special needs of our English language learners. Students in the elementary school enjoy a wide range of "special" classes - music, art, PE, Spanish, and technology. We invite you to come to our school, walk down our
hallway, visit with us, and see what makes the elementary school at ECA such a unique place.
Middle / High School:
ECA offers a rigorous, college-prep education, including honors and AP courses. We desire to give our students a solid foundation by providing a Christ-centered curriculum.
Students in grades 6-12 enroll in science, history, math, English, Bible, fine arts, foreign language, and PE. Electives are also offered, including choir, automobile mainenance, welding, and drama. Lessons, taught by instructors at ECA, are available for a variety of instruments.
Music:
The ECA music program includes several facets:
• A general music program for elementary students -- to expose them to a wide variety of styles and to teach the elements of music through listening, reading, writing, performing, and creating music.
• A program of private music instruction -- to facilitate excellence in communicat
ing and expressing oneself to others musically.
• A choir program, which is required for all Middle School students and is optional for High School students -- to continue the process of group learning in the elements and cultural aspects of music and to provide opportunities for the presentation of high quality music.
• A band program, which is available to those with one or more years of private music instruction -- to facilitate the study and performance of instrumental music and build responsibility in individuals for the success of the group.
• Performances on a regular basis for each group of learners -- which may include any or all of the following functions: to provide a goal towards which we work, to build unity in the community of students and their families.
Technology:
The Technology Department at ECA strives to model and train students in a healthy integration of technology tools for teaching, learning, communication, evaluation, analysis, and productivity. Our goal is to see students who are efficient in the use of technology and its applications, while practicing accountability for their words and actions within a context of spiritual and social edification in every day life.
