Bachelor of Arts in International Studies (BAIS):
The degree is available to students wishing to combine the completion of their bachelor's degree with a master's degree programUniversities / Graduate Schools in three years. Typically, students enter after two years of undergraduate work, transferring credits from other undergraduate institutions, with most going on to a master’s program either in International Policy Studies or another graduate program at the Monterey Institute.

Certificates & Special Programs:

Peace Corps Master´s International Program:
The Monterey Institute and Peace Corps share a common goal in seeking to "help the people of interested countries in meeting their need for trained men and women." Our graduate programs at the Monterey Institute aim to prepare the next generation of policy makers, business leaders, translators and interpreters, and language teachers.

The Monterey Institute benefits from the knowledge and expertise of the several Returned Peace Corps Volunteers on campus that make up our student body, faculty, and staff.

Peace Corps is celebrating its 20th year of Peace Corps Master’s International (PCMI) programs. The Monterey Institute is proud to offer PCMI programs in five degree options.

Students spend 2-3 semesters on campus in preparation for Peace Corps service, spend 27 months in a Peace Corps assignment, and return to campus for a final semester to complete degree requirements:
